Site Safety Traning (SST)

The New York City Department of Buildings Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor Upgrade from Site Safety Training (SST) 10 Hour course is designed for individuals who currently hold a valid SST 10 Hour card and are seeking to upgrade to an SST Supervisor card. This 22-hour upgrade course provides advanced construction safety training focused on supervisory responsibilities, hazard recognition, fall prevention, worker protection, supported scaffold safety, and regulatory compliance in accordance with NYC DOB and applicable OSHA standards. Successful completion of this course allows eligible participants to satisfy the additional training requirements necessary to obtain an SST Supervisor card.

Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor Upgrade – Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for an Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor Upgrade under New York City Department of Buildings (Local Law 196), workers must:

- Hold a valid SST 10 Hour card

- Hold a valid OSHA 30 Construction industry
