Non-Discrimination Policy

  • Construction Safety Training enforces that all affairs and training are conducted in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations in accordance with the highest ethical standards.

  • Construction Safety Training is compliant with all federal and state laws and regulations regarding discrimination. It is our company policy and commitment that we do not discriminate on the basis of race, age color, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, religion or otherwise as may be prohibited by federal and state law. We explicitly prohibit offensive behavior. Derogatory comments towards colleagues, students, and guests of a specific gender, race, or sexual orientation as well as other forms of discrimination will not be tolerated.

Proprietary Interest Policy

  • Prior to the start of any learning event, Construction Safety Training will disclose any instructor’s proprietary interest in any product, instrument, device, service, or material to be discussed during the learning event, along with the source of any third-party compensation related to the presentation.

  • Construction Safety Training will reference instructor proprietary interests appropriately in instructional materials it publishes. If no such proprietary/financial interests exist, Construction Safety Training will publish a disclaimer in marketing or instructional materials. Construction Safety Training retains the right to review and approve branding associated with any proprietary interests. Instructor/instructor’s employer branding will be limited.

  • Instructors do not promote the exclusive use of any commercial product in published instructional materials or during instruction. Instructors’ discussion of their proprietary interests during instruction is limited to relevant contexts and includes consideration of alternative products or companies that are comparable to the instructor’s.

  • Immediately upon being assigned to present a learning event, an employee/instructor must disclose any existing proprietary interests relevant to the instructional assignment. Disclosure will be made to the immediate supervisor, the training coordinator, and Human Resources. If an instructor acquires a proprietary interest after marketing materials have been produced and distributed for a learning event affected by this policy, the instructor shall provide and document written disclosure to learners at the beginning of the course. Such disclosure shall be documented in the record of the learning event. Examples of appropriate documentation include a written statement distributed with handouts, or a statement included on one of the early slides in a slide presentation. Proprietary content may be used to produce deliverables for Construction Safety Training, and Construction Safety Training will make no claim to proprietary interests disclosed in a timely manner.

  • Prospective instructional contractors must disclose existing proprietary interests relevant to the instructional topics during contract negotiations. The proprietary interests must be listed in the contract prior to contract execution for Construction Safety Training to recognize them. Proprietary content may be used to produce contracted deliverables provided to Construction Safety Training, and Construction Safety Training will make no claim to proprietary interests disclosed in the contract..

Intellectual Property Policy

  • Prior to the start of each class, the instructor is responsible for disclosing any proprietary interest the instructor may have in any product, instrument, device, service, or material discussed within the class along with any compensation related to the presentation.

  • If and when third party materials are used during instruction and/or assessment, materials must include appropriate credit line, copyright, and/or digital watermark. All permissions and licenses must be obtained in advance of course and must be maintained for the duration of the course.

Confidentiality policy

Construction Safety Training is responsible for maintaining and securing private records. These records include but are not limited to: Personal client information, student records, and materials related to the course. All personally identifiable information (PII) will be maintained behind password protection if digital, or locked filing cabinets if hard copy. Records can be produced upon request from authorized persons.

Prerequisites, Attendance/Tardiness

  • Students must be able to communicate with the instructor in the language the course is held in.

  • Attendance is mandatory in order to receive certification. Students more than 20 minutes late will not receive credit for the class and will have to make up that session in order to successfully complete the course. Any make up session must be completed within six months from the course start date to be counted towards course completion.

Certification/Card Release

Upon successful completion of OSHA 30 Training Course, students will receive a printed certificate indicating that they have fulfilled all requirements of the course and OSHA 30 cards will be distributed by post.

Learner Records Privacy Policy

At Construction Safety Training it is of utmost importance to us that consumer information is safe and secure. We are committed to maintain and use consumer information responsibly. All electronic records are secured through restricted password access and are firewall secure to prevent internal and external theft of such data. Paper records are maintained in locked and restricted access areas. All learner records are kept on file for at least seven years and requests for a copy of these records must be made in writing by the learner with valid identification included in the signed request to verify the learner‘s identity. Requests for learner documentation need to be made in person. We do not accept proof of learner ID over the internet for the learners safety.
